As development activity picks up stream across Northumberland County, the Municipality of Port Hope is making sure residents are informed, included and ready to benefit from the opportunities with the Inspired In Hope event on July 21.
This half-day entrepreneurship event hosted by the Municipality's Economic Development Division is designed to encourage business ownership, build local capacity, and connect residents with the tools and supports they need to participate in Port Hope's economic future.
The event will feature entrepreneur-focused workshops, an interactive panel discussion, and opportunities to connect directly with small-business support organizations, financing and service providers. Exhibitor space will also be available, creating a hub for partners to showcase resources and supports available to local entrepreneurs.
“Port Hope is preparing for growth, but that growth must feel relevant and accessible to the people who call our community home,” Mayor Olena Hankivsky commented in the announcement.
“Inspired In Hope is about helping residents see themselves in that future, and connecting them with th tools, knowledge and networks they need.”
Inspired In Hope is open to prospective entrepreneurs throughout Northumberland County, with the aim of welcoming a diverse cross-section of participants – aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, youth, side-hustle founders, and community members interested in new economic opportunities.
This event is hosted in partnership with Business In The Streets, the Business and Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland, the Port Hope and District Chamber of Commerce and the Port Hope Heritage Business Improvement Area.
