New Cobourg Transit app to be offered next week

A new transit app is being offered to Cobourg riders to enhance traveling options.

Starting June 15, the app will allow passengers to view both on-demand and fixed route transit options in a single, convenient platform.

With this update, users of the Cobourg Transit app will now see fixed route trip options alongside existing on-demand services.

This enhancement is designed to improve accessibility and make it easier for riders to choose the service that best meets their needs.

Key features of the update include:

  • Integrated trip planning that displays both on-demand and fixed route options.

  • Fixed route trips clearly labeled as “Cobourg Transit Fixed Route.”

  • Step-by-step walking directions to and from nearby bus stops for fixed route trips.

  • Continued access to on-demand service for riders who prefer flexible, door-to-door transportation.

Passengers choosing to use fixed route services do not need to book a trip through the app. Riders can simply go to their desired bus stop and board the bus upon arrival.
