Lakelands Public Health is notifying parents and guardians of students in Grades 2 through 11 about the requirement to submit or update immunization records, as mandated by provincial legislation.

Under the Immunization of School Pupils Act, these students must have current immunization records (or a valid exemption) on file with their local health unit. Lakelands is actively collecting this information from Grades-2-through-11 families to ensure compliance.

Students without these up-to-date records may expect to receive suspension notices March 9 for them to take home and, in case of continued non-compliance, suspensions begin March 31.

Parents and guardians can check immunization records and submit updates using the appropriate Online Immunization Portal for your area at LakelandsPH.ca/Immunization.

Lakelands immunization clinics are available for those without a local health-care provider by appointment only – visit LakelandsPH.ca/Immunization for dates, times and locations.

To submit an exemption, visit LakelandsPH.ca/Exemption to learn more.

For support with checking or updating immunization records, call Lakelands at 1-866-888-4577.
