In Cobourg, Nov. 1 means winter parking bylaws are now in effect to ensure collector and arterial roads remain clear for safe snow-removal operations.

Parking Bylaw 048-2023 bans parking on designated collector and arterial roads between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. Nov. 1 through March 31. The bylaw also says no person shall park a vehicle in such a way that obstructs the removal of snow from the streets, as well as prohibiting the parking of a vehicle on any highway during a snow or significant weather event when notice had been given. It goes on to ban parking at any time on all cul-de-sacs and wide corners, one-way streets and lay-bys during the winter parking season.

The town provides a Winter Parking Nap as well as an online interactive map illustrating these provisions.
