$154,000 is being invested into the  Elgin Street Sport Park rehabilitation project in Cramahe Township. Phase 1 was announced Friday, as MPP David Piccini announced Trillium Foundation Grant funding.

“Our community will greatly benefit from this OTF grant,” said Mandy Martin, Mayor of

Cramahe Township. “It ensures these vital recreational spaces will remain accessible

for all through sport, play and community events.”

Improvements include resurfacing the tennis and basketball courts, repairing and painting the ball hockey rink, replacing basketball nets and hardware, upgrading fencing where needed, and installing new lighting.

A second phase, estimated at $100,000, is planned for the future.
