The Canadian Federation of University Women Northumberland is calling their Nov. 4 event at the Cobourg Public Library a Creativity Sale.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., drop in to check out such hand-made treasures as quilted bridge- and card-table covers, pillow covers, adult and child-size aprons, pie and pot covers, jewelry, travel bags and purses.

A Platinum Elephant Table will offer some truly unusual treasures, including a fur hat, brand-new hiking boots, exquisite hand-made pieces (such as a cutting board and trivet) and a beautiful decorative piece from Bulgaria.

Along with lattes, cappuccinos and baked goods, shoppers can meet two local authors who will be present with their latest books.

It's all a fundraiser for the CFUW Northumberland's educational awards program for local young women pursuing post-secondary education and apprentice programs.

The library is located at 200 Ontario St., so drop by between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for treasures, textiles, threads, treats and tales.
