What’s open and closed on the Civic holiday

Town of Cobourg municipal offices and buildings, including Victoria Hall, the Cobourg Community Centre, the Cobourg Public Library, Public Works Building 7, and the Venture13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre will be closed on Monday, August 4, 2025.

Municipal building long weekend hours of operation:

  • Cobourg Community Centre (750 D'Arcy Street)

    • Open Saturday, August 2: 7 a.m.-11 p.m.

    • Open Sunday, August 3: 7 a.m.-11 p.m.

  • Cobourg Public Library (200 Ontario Street)

    • Open Saturday, August 2: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Venture13 Innovation & Entrepreneurship Centre (739 D’Arcy Street)

    • Closed Monday, August 4 (open to Venture Zone members)

  • Victoria Hall (55 King Street West)

    • Building and Art Gallery open on Saturday, August 2nd: 12-4 p.m.

Cobourg Transit will be running its regular hours of operation on the Civic Holiday.

In Port Hope:


A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings and the Port Hope Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, August 4, 2025 for the Civic Holiday. All services will resume at their usual business hours on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Municipal recreation facilities, Transit service, and the Hope Transfer Station will be operating at regular hours on the holiday.
