Cobourg woman charged with assaulting police officer

A 39-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges on a report of a person throwing objects on the road.

Police responded to William Street and University Avenue West, Thursday where the woman allegedly exposed herself to officers and passing members of the public while screaming profanities.

She is also accused of assaulting a police officer during the arrest. She is charged with Mischief,  Indecent Act, Assault with intent to resist arrest, and Assault Peace Officer.
