A 60-year-old Cobourg man is facing impaired driving after allegedly being stopped while riding an e-bike.

On Friday evening, police responded to a call on Division Street. Officers located the man in the downtown core.

Police say he was arrested for having blood-alcohol above the legal limit.

E-bikes are classified as motor vehicles and operating such devices can lead to criminal charges.
