Cobourg

The former CDCI West athletic field is the subject of a Feb. 25 public meeting, with plans on the table for a residential development.

The Town of Cobourg announces a Feb. 25 public meeting on the Zoning Bylaw Amendment application for 117 Durham St.

This land was purchased by the town after CDCI West closed in 2015. The parcel, located a couple of blocks south of the school on the Lake Ontario shoreline, served the school as its athletic field. The town has initiated the zoning bylaw application to introduce residential uses, with an emphasis on medium and high-density residential uses to facilitate a mix of housing types.

The 5 p.m. meeting will take place in council chambers on the third floor at Victoria Hall, and can also be viewed through the town's eScribe feed or on Zoom.

Anyone who wishes to participate in the meeting, on Zoom or by phone, must register no later than 4 p.m. Feb. 24 by contacting Municipal Clerk Brent Larmer at 905-372-4301 or clerk@cobourg.ca

Additional information on this application is available during business hours at Victoria Hall in the Planning Department. Call 905-372-1005 – reference file number is ZB-2025-001.
