The Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation is pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for the sixth annual Handbags for Hospice – which raised an amazing $111,000 last year.
Last year, Handbags for Hospice was literally a $100,000 fundraiser for the Ed's House hospice (more than $111,000) to be exact, and tickets for the 2025 edition go on sale at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10.
The sixth annual Handbags for Hospice evening will take place April 10 at the Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn and Convention Centre, an evening of fabulous handbags, great company and support for Ed's House – which last year expanded from six beds to 10.
In addition to a vast selection of exquisite handbags and silent-auction goodies, you will enjoy a complimentary welcome drink, delectable hors d'oeuvres and desserts, the Signature Cookie, the Sweetopia candy bar, a photo booth, surprise-filled mystery bags, the Golden Ticket draw and – new this year – the Purse of Possibilities Wall.
Co-chairs Jan Rosamond and Pam Trumper have found it a rewarding experience to work with their committee, volunteers at the event and the community's generous local business sponsors and silent- and live-auction donors. Last year's fun-filled event was enjoyed by 270 ticket holders.
“Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre shines as a beacon of care and compassion, and it is truly an honour for us to dedicate our time in support of this cause,” said the announcement from the Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation.
Tickets are $100, available at https://www.handbagsforhospice.ca/
The foundation extends thanks to their generous sponsors, including Signature Sponsor Tony Pulla of Re/Max Lakeshore Realty Inc. and Pearl Sponsor Jacqueline Pennington of Re/Max Hallmark.
