The Cobourg Lawn Bowling Club is proud to announce that Baylee van Steijn will represent Canada in the World Junior Championships in December for Under 25 players.

This 26th edition of the World Bowls Junior Indoor Championship takes place Dec. 1 to 4 at County Antrim Indoor Bowling Club, Ballyclare, Northern Ireland.

Van Steijn earned this honour by winning gold at the Canadian Championships in August.

A member of the Canadian Senior squad, she has competed internationally now for several years, with a number of notable accomplishments to her credit – including winning a bronze medal at the World Bowls Championship in Australia in 2023.

More recently, she was a member of the Canadian team that competed in the Atlantic International Challenge in Scotland in 2024, and again in Windsor, Ontario, in September.
