Cobourg man faces assault charge

A 47-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges, following a disturbance Friday.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., police were called to a report of a disturbance at a home.

A witness reported observing a man strike a woman during an argument. The man left the area on foot.

He is charged with assault and will appear in court at a later date.
