The new year will bring a new fundraiser for Community Care Northumberland, with the Feb. 12 Casino Royale night at Port Hope's Capitol Theatre.
Test your luck at classic fun-money versions of such casino games as Blackjack, Roulette, Texas Hold 'Em and Crown & Anchor, all while enjoying live music, elegant bites and an unforgettable night of entertainment – all in support of a good cause.
“We're so excited to bring Casino Royale to the community for the very first time,” Chief Executive Officer Trish Baird said in the announcement.
“It's going to be a lively, entertaining night where people can enjoy themselves while supporting a cause that truly matters. Our community's generosity is what keeps our programs running, and we hope this event helps raise both awareness and funds for the work we do every day.”
Casino Royale proceeds will support a variety of programs that make a meaningful impact on Northumberland residents, including nutrition services, transportation, in-home services, wrap-around support, wellness programs and hospice services.
Casino Royale runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Capitol, and your $125 ticket (available at www.commcare.ca) includes fun money and a complimentary drink. The play money used for these casino games has no monetary value – players will not be gambling with real money, just having fun for a great cause.
“We invite you to support CCN's first-ever Casino Royal event, an exciting, engaging evening dedicated to community,” CCN Board Chair Elaine Azzopardi said.
“All proceeds will directly support the essential programs and resources that make a real difference. Let's not leave the care of our community to chance.”
Local businesses looking to make a positive impact while gaining brand exposure are encouraged to explore the many sponsorship opportunities available. For more information, contact Kristin Andrews at k.andrews@commcare.ca or call 905-375-7188.
