Prepare to reserve your Victoria Park Campground site

The annual opening of phone and on-line reservations for the limited sites in Cobourg's Victoria Park Campground happens next week.

Monday, Feb. 3, at 9 a.m. is when you can make your 2025 reservations for the Victoria Park Campground.

The Town of Cobourg's Community Services Division made the announcement, offering on-line an over-the-phone options, as well as conditions.

- Full payment for each reservation is required at the time of booking

- A maximum of seven days can be reserved at one time – additional dates can be booked throughout the summer, but these must be made as separate transactions.

- Up to four bookings can be added to your digital shopping cart at a time – four consecutive seven-day bookings, for example, or four separate camping sites.

By phone, staff will be available (as of Feb. 3) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays at 905-373-7321. You will require your credit card number (please note – this information is not stored).

On-line, visit http://campground.cobourg.ca/vpc/. If you do not already have an account, you can create one with your e-mail address and a password. Then follow these steps:

- Make a reservation by logging in and selecting “Make A Reservation” from the main menu.

- Select your dates. Confirm desired arrival and departure dates, then click Check Availability.

- Choose your site by using the interactive digital map. Green means available, yellow means it's in someone else's cart and red means unavailable. - Check your choice and click Add To Cart.

- Check out. Visit your cart to complete your booking, enter payment details and click Pay. After payment is processed, a confirmation e-mail will be sent.

- Remember the time limit. You have 15 minutes to finalize your booking, or the items in your cart will be released.

The announcement included a new cancellation policy that governs refunds.

- Before 4 p.m. at least seven days before scheduled arrival – Full refund minus a $20 administrative charge and the booking fee.

- Within seven days but more than 24 hours prior to arrival – One night's stay plus $20 administrative fee will be charged.

- Twenty-four hours or less – No refund.

You can make changes to your reservation up to 14 days before your scheduled arrival with no additional fees, subject to availability.
