Warkworth prison inmate charged in August incident

An inmate at Warkworth Institution is facing charges, after allegedly threatening correctional officers.

Northumberland OPP began investigating a complaint in September, claiming that an inmate from Brighton had threatened several guards during an incident at the prison in August.

The 37-year-old inmate is charged with uttering threats which could cause death or bodily harm.
