Cobourg Mayor hopes to make pitch to four ministries

At this year's Rural Ontario Municipality Association conference, Cobourg Mayor Lucas Cleveland will apply to make pitches to four different ministries with approaches that he hopes will benefit the town in a variety of ways.
Cobourg council Wednesday night voted its support of Mayor Lucas Cleveland's application to make four requests to make delegations at the 2025 ROMA conference.
The town was notified Nov. 1 that delegation requests may be made to present to the Rural Ontario Municipal Association forum, and Cleveland wants to present to four ministries on different topics.
To the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, he wants to discuss the town's Emergency Care Establishment Bylaw and its necessity in the absence of provincial standards governing such establishments.
