Forgotten 45's - July 6: Animal House
Lions, tigers, elephants, bears, foxes, dogs, cats, alligators, crocodiles - almost every animal you can think of is featured on this edition of "Forgotten '45s."
Dale Patterson digs deep into the archives to find plenty of animal-related tunes in the show he calls "Animal House." Edward Bear - naturally - is featured in NOT in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame segment (renamed NOT in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame for this week).
The Dusty Disc of the Week is Lou Monte's "Dominik the Donkey."
These and lots more on Dale Patterson's "Animal House" edition of Forgotten '45s on Northumberland 89.7, Truly Local Radio.
Forgotten 45's - Canada Day
On Canada Day, Dale Patterson went back to July 1, 1967 and did his entire as if it WAS July 1, 1967. It's a very special trip back to Canada's 100th birthday, then known as Dominion Day.
In addition to playing the hits of the day, Dale provided news items and weather from Dominion Day 1967 as if it were actually happening (even giving the temperatures in Fahrenheit and mentioning the ball scores from the night before).
Check out Dale Patterson's trip back in time to July 1, 1967 - it's nostalgia radio as you've never heard it before!
