Candidate speaks out on sign vandalism

Concern with the damaging of campaign signs in Cobourg has resulted in one candidate speaking out personally.

Council candidate Mark Mills issued a statement that “dozens of my signs have been damaged or outright destroyed by a box cutter or similar tool.

“Signs are a key part of most political campaigns and they can be costly to replace,” Mills added, declaring this an act of criminal vandalism.

“To those participating in these acts of criminality, please know my next step will be to contact the Cobourg Police Service to file a complaint.”
