Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation hopes you'll mark Sept. 16 on your calendar – the date that tickets become available for their 2026 gala, with a Singin' In The Rain: Hollywood Style theme.

Proceeds from the Nov. 7 event will help fund four key investments at the hospital to modernize breast health care for local patients.

Organizers have announced that Singin' In The Rain: Hollywood Style will take place at the LiUNA Local 183 Lifelong Learning Centre in Cobourg, and will build on the success of the “elevated cocktail” format introduced last year.

“Our dedicated cabinet of volunteers are working to plan an elegant evening for guests, embracing the glamour and excitement of old Hollywood,” Chief Executive Officer Rhonda Cunningham said in the announcement.

“While the theme may be timeless, behind it is a very modern vision, bringing the latest equipment and innovations in breast health care to our community.”

The key investments to be supported by proceeds include a new 3D mammography unit, an ultrasound machine, a bone-mineral density scanner and wire-free breast tissue localizing technology.

“Together with returning and new gala guests, we will celebrate the elegance of the past while investing in advanced technology for the future,” Cunninham said.

“These investments will support earlier diagnosis, improved patient comfort and better outcomes for patients and families facing breast cancer in our community.”

Starting at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, tickets (at $250 per person) will be available on-line at www.NHHGala.ca
