Youth charged uttering death threats and assaulting an officer

A teenager is facing charges for allegedly uttering threats and assaulting officers.

On Thursday, police received a report that threats had been made during an online interaction between youths. 

The accused was arrested Friday and apparently uttered threats toward a police officer and assaulted an officer. 

The 16-year-old youth was charged with two counts of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, Assaulting a Peace Officer.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
