Brighton Ontario, and Brighton New York have signed a twinning agreement.

"Building strong international friendships at the local level is essential.” said Mayor Brian Ostrander. “Twinning with Brighton, New York allows us to honour our shared history and create real opportunities for cultural, civic, and community exchange. Even during times of broader cross-border tension, local leaders have a responsibility to foster kindness, goodwill, and mutual respect. I am proud to welcome Town Supervisor Bill Moehle to Brighton, Ontario, as we pave the way for a strong, connected future together."

While the official signing took place recently, Council approved the move in June.
