The men and women of the Cobourg Fire Department will be in the spotlight in a new six-part docu-series called In The Line of Fire, which debuts on Bell Fibe TV1 on July 30.

Viewers will not only see exactly how these first responders do their jobs, but what inspires them to answer the calling.

It's also an opportunity to learn about the diverse divisions that make up a fire service, training, water-rescue efforts in Lake Ontario's frigid waters – as well as some deeply personal stories of courage, loss, survival and unwavering commitment to the community.

Cobourg is also home to the Canadian Fire Fighters Museum, offering an opportunity to explore the history of fire fighting, innovations in suppression techniques, fire codes and fire-fighter safety – and how they continue to shape modern emergency services.

In The Line of Fire is available exclusively on Bell Fibe TV Channel 1 and through the Fibe TV app.
