A heavy agenda for Cobourg council's summer meeting on July 22 has forced some changes, including a starting time of 1 p.m. - five hours earlier than usual.
The announcement included details from the agenda, beginning with five items from previous committee meetings that have been extracted for separate discussion – the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, an update on the YMCA Recreation Facility Proposal, the 296 George St. zoning bylaw amendment, and Official Plan and zoning bylaw amendments for 660 Kerr St. W. and 202 Second St.
The agenda also includes three delegations, recommendations from the Accessibility Advisory Committee and the Parks and Recreation Master Plan Task Force, and 12 items on the consent agenda.
Requests to be on the agenda as a speaker will be considered until noon on July 21 (email clerk@cobourg.ca).
Given the agenda, a high volume of residents in attendance is anticipated, so additional seating space will be opened in the Old Bailey Courtroom on Victoria Hall's ground floor, with the proceedings livestreamed to that area. Priority seating in the third-floor council chambers will be given to all those speaking to an agenda item.
