Campbellford man facing drug possession charges

A 48-year-old Warkworth man is facing a drug possession charge after a report of a suspicious person in Campbellford last Thursday evening. 

Northumberland OPP say officers responded to Church Street around 5:30PM after receiving a complaint about a suspicious individual. Police located a person matching the description provided by the caller.

During the investigation, officers seized a small quantity of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine.

48-year-old Richard Walsh of Warkworth, was charged with possession of methamphetamine. He is scheduled to appear in court in Cobourg in July.
