NHH Foundation announces Ace capture

By Cecilia Nasmith

After 35 weeks of anticipation, Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation announces that the Ace of Spades has been caught – bringing their Catch the Ace lottery to a close.

Winning ticket number 888190381 was purchased by Cindy Barrett and drawn as a winner on April 29. Barrett subsequently selected envelope number 51 which, when opened, was found to contain the Ace of Spades. Her take from the progressive jackpot and weekly prize draw amounted to $26,076.

“I was really playing as a way to support the hospital,” Barett said.

“I never imagined I would win, but this is very exciting.”

NHH Manager of Community Giving Courtney Ker extended thanks to all who supported the hospital by participating.

“Every ticket purchased was more than just a chance to win – it was a meaningful contribution to help fund medical equipment at our hospital,” Ker said in the announcement.

With this round of Catch the Ace now closed, the Foundation is pausing the program for review – but encourages everyone to stay tuned for future announcement and other opportunities to get involved in supporting NHH.
