Cobourg's Civic Award Committee has announced a one-week extension for nomination deadlines, meaning nominations will now be accepted until noon on Friday, March 6.

There are two levels of awards – Major Awards (for those who have volunteered for five years or more and have diverse volunteerism experience) and Distinguished Awards (for those who have volunteered a minimum of one year in the community).

To submit a nomination, visit www.cobourg.ca/CivicAwards and review the awards category to select the most appropriate one. Then complete the on-line nomination form, including all required information and supporting documentation. If you require help, you can contact CAO Executive Assistant Toni Galea at 905-372-4301 ext. 4102 or tgalea@cobourg.ca

The committee thanks the generous support of on-going sponsors for making this program possible – Lynn Hardy, RBC Wealth Management/RBC Dominion Securities Inc., the Rotary Club of Cobourg, Lakefront Utilities Services Inc. Metroland Media, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133, Lions Club of Cobourg, Trudy's Source for Sports and Northumberland 897 FM.
