On the night of Oct. 26, Port Hope has shared plans to announce the results at the Capitol Theatre.

Voting in municipal and school-board elections closes at 8 p.m. that evening, with unofficial results anticipated to be available after 8:30 p.m. These will be posted simultaneously on the municipality's website and its Facebook and Instagram pages – and announced in-person at the Capitol.

Doors at the theatre will open at 7:30 p.m. Following the close of voting and verification of results, the news will be projected on the stage screen and announced by the clerk – all anticipated to take place after 8:30 p.m.

As the Town Hall is being used as a Voter Assistance Centre until 8 p.m. on Election Day, results will not be announced at that venue.
