Trillium College, which has a campus at the Northumberland Mall has suspended online and in-person classes, after the provincial government paused Ontario Student Assistance Program funding to all private post secondary schools.

The Canadian Press reports that Trillium College sent students a notification Friday.

The pause in OSAP funding comes as  the Doug Ford government conducts an audit of the loan program, concerned of potential wide-spread OSAP fraud.

Trillium College has offered interest-free payment options to students, but the college warned uncertain financial access could put students' educational instruction at risk.
