More than 1100 vehicles stopped as part of Cobourg Police Christmas RIDE program

Cobourg Police stopped more than 1100 vehicles during its festive impaired driving campaign.

Between Nov. 24 and Jan. 2, officers stopped motorists, checking for intoxication, while also educating drivers. 14 roadside screening tests were administered and five impaired driving charges were laid.

Seven traffic infractions were issued, as were multiple warnings.
