OPP investigate fatal collision near Colborne

Provincial Police say a Chahtam man is dead following a fatal collision on Highway 401 near Colborne.

Authorities say a vehicle was parked near the median of the westbound lane when a pedestrian was struck near Cochrane Road late Saturday.

The 22-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A portion of the 401 between Big Apple Drive and County Road 30 was closed briefly, but has since reopened.
