Returning for a 25th year, the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation gala ball could only be called one thing – the Silver Soiree.

Set for Nov. 8 at the LiUNA Local 183 Lifelong Learning Centre, it returns to an in-person single-location event, with elevated cocktail reception, delicious food, dancing, a raffle opportunity and community-wide on-line auction.

And tickets are available online, as of Sept. 9.

Drs. Emma Smith and Kate Everdell are this year's co-chairs, Everdell characterizing it as “an elaborate and lively evening.

“We both have great memories from attending in previous years. With the change in format this year, we're working alongside a dedicated group of cabinet volunteers to bring some new energy, offer a unique experience and focus on celebrating the years of generosity our community has shown to our hospital.”

The annual gala, hosted most recently in a community-wide format Galalicious, is the foundation's most financially successful event. Since the first one in 2001, it has raised more than $4.1-million to help fund priority medical equipment and technology to support the delivery of modern patient care at NHH.

This year's proceeds will help fund Endoeye Scopes, a special type of camera used during minimally invasive surgeries to give the surgeon a clear high-definition view inside a patient's body. The results are faster and more precise surgeries with faster patient recovery.

Tickets are $250 per person, available at www.NHHGala.ca as of 10 a.m. Sept. 9.
