Port Hope Police lay charges in alleged knife assault

An Ajax man is facing charges for an alleged assault on Saturday in Port Hope.

The incident happened at a gathering where apparently the victim sustained a serious neck injury after being assaulted with a knife and required hospital treatment.

It was reported to police Wednesday. The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
