OPP investigate suspicious person in Castleton

A bit of a cause for concern in Castleton Wednesday afternoon, after OPP responded to a suspicious person, possibly in possession of a weapon near the elementary school.

As a safety precaution, students were put on a hold and secure at approximately 2 p.m., as officers investigated the incident on Cemetery Road.

Police contacted the individual in the cemetery, who was holding a musical instrument. The safety protocols were lifted at approximately 2:30 p.m..
