Cobourg

Community Care Northumberland welcomes you to its Northumberland Volunteer Fair on Sept. 24 at the Cobourg Lions Community Centre, an occasion that will bring together local organizations and individuals who want to make a positive impact on their community.

It's the perfect place to speak directly with a wide variety of local nonprofits and community groups, whether you're interested in sharing your skills, meeting new people or supporting a cause you care about.

“I'm constantly inspired by the incredible commitment of our volunteers,” Community Care Chief Executive Officer Trish Baird said in the announcement.

“They make a real difference every single day, and we're looking forward to meeting even more people who want to get involved.”

The event takes place Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 1 to 5 p.m., and the Lions Centre is located at 157 Elgin St. E.

The call is also out to nonprofits and community groups that would like to register as a vendor looking to connect with enthusiastic volunteers. The deadline to register is Sept. 5 and the $35 fee for tables includes lunch. For more information, contact Kelly at volunteer@commcare.ca or call 1-866-514-5774.
