Special Council meeting called over Cleveland’s Strong Mayor Powers usage

Cobourg Council is set to discuss a recent decision to appoint a new Director of Development and a Deputy, while establishing an entirely new division.

Mayor Lucas Cleveland used his Strong Mayor Powers to make the move. Today’s Northumberland reported last week that Chris Challenger, who is currently the Office Manager to Cobourg CAO Tracey Vaughen has no formal education in planning development.

The Special Council Monday will take place next Monday at 6PM and can be streamed from the Town of Cobourg website.
