File photo

An early morning raid in Cobourg has netted drug charges for two people.

Officers with Cobourg and Belleville executed a search warrant on a home near Swayne and Division Streets.

Police allege that drugs and weapons were in plain sight once entering the home.

Two children were also apparently in the house at the time. Authorities claim to have seized a quantity of cocaine, fentanyl, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), stolen property, and weapons.

The names of the accused are not being released to protect the identity of the children. The man and woman charged were held pending a bail hearing.
