Colborne man facing weapons charges

A 74-year-old Colborne man is facing weapons charges following an incident Monday evening.

Northumberland OPP responded to a home on Telephone Road of a dispute where firearms may be involved.

Officers allege that several rifles and shotguns were being stored improperly.

Murray Davey is charged with six counts of careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition. The weapons were seized and Davey will appear in court at a later date.
