Port Hope to begin spring hydrant flushing

Spring hydrant maintenance will occur in Port Hope starting next week.

The program running on weekdays, beginning Monday will see the flushing of hydrants.

Residents may experience lower water pressure than normal and rust colour may occur.

Town officials are asking residents to avoid doing laundry, if a hydrant is being flushed in your area.

The program will run until May 16.
