OPP investigating multiple alleged B&E’s near Roseneath

Northumberland OPP is investigating five alleged break and enters in the Roseneath area over a three-day period. 

On Sunday, police received a report of a break and enter at an address on County Road 18 where an attempt to steal a vehicle was made. The incident was believed to have occurred after 7:30 p.m. the previous evening.

Later that evening, at around 7:00 p.m., OPP responded to an incident of a break and enter at a home on County Road 45 where the complainant advised that food items had recently been taken. 

At approximately 9:20 p.m., officers received a call where the complainant advised a building on their property on County Road 45, had been broken into and a number of items had been taken. The caller believed that individuals may be elsewhere on the property. The Emergency Response Team attended to assist with a search of the area and utilized a Remotely Piloted Aerial System (DRONE) in efforts to locate persons in relation to the incident. 

On Monday, shortly after 9:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a break and enter which was believed to have occurred over the previous two days at a business on County Road 18. A number of items of clothing had been taken.

As well that day, OPP received a report that a pickup truck had been taken from a property on 2nd Line Road and is believed to have been stolen between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. that morning. 

Lines of inquiry have led to two individuals who attended a local gas station in the vehicle before leaving the area. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact police.
