A Hamilton Township woman is facing impaired driving, following an accident early Monday.

Northumberland OPP say a grey pick-up truck was traveling westbound on Dale Road, east of County Road 45 at approximately 12:15 A.M., when it entered a ditch causing minor vehicle damage.

A second vehicle arrived at the scene, with that driver claiming to know the operator of the truck.

Police suspected impaired driving and administered a roadside test. The pick-up driver was arrested. Police allege the results of a second test indicated the driver blew three times the legal limit.

Emily Johnston will appear in Cobourg court in March.
