Northumberland OPP are bringing joy to Campbellford seniors this holiday season.

On Friday, police and the Northumberland/Peterborough Crime Stoppers, helped stuff stockings for seniors living in retirement residences or nursing homes in the Trent Hills area.

Primary grade students created cards and local businesses donated items to help fill over 60 stockings.

“Together we uplifted the spirits of our most vulnerable community members. It was a tangible token that reminded them they are still an important part of society, cared for by members of their community and were not forgotten during this holiday season,” stated a press release from Northumberland OPP.

The stockings have already been delivered to seniors before Christmas.
