As a self-employed small business owner, I've always had an entrepreneurial drive that pushes me to figure things out through creative problem-solving and strategic thinking.
For the past 25 years, I have built my career in real estate, construction, property management and land development. In 2006, I founded The Mada Group Inc., where I have been involved in projects from planning and design through construction, completion and ongoing operations. This experience has taught me how to make informed decisions, manage resources responsibly and find practical solutions when challenges arise.
I have also started and operated businesses in the hospitality industry, giving me a strong appreciation for local business and community connections.
My connection to Trent Hills is both personal and professional. My wife, Irena, has been coming to the area for 30 years, and 15 years ago we purchased a farm here. Over time, Trent Hills became the place where we wanted to build our future and raise our family.
Last year, Irena, and her lifelong friend, our neighbour and Trent Hills resident, Magda Husejko, partnered to invest in Campbellford’s downtown by restoring 11 Front Street North, beside Town Square, and opened Golden Cafe in April 2026.
As a councillor, I would bring a practical, common-sense approach to responsible spending, infrastructure and supporting local businesses. I also believe we need to plan thoughtfully for Trent Hills’ aging population, improve accessibility throughout our communities, and work toward ensuring the new hospital and surrounding health services meet the needs of both current and future residents. At the same time, we need to create opportunities that attract young families and new residents to Trent Hills.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering around kids’ sports, tennis, baseball, swimming and travelling.
