Cobourg to consider new seniors development

Cobourg civic leaders are set to consider a major seniors' housing development in the town's east end.

The proposal, filed by RFA Planning on behalf of Belle Station LP, calls for a nine-storey retirement residence with 241 units, plus another 104 seniors' apartments and ground-floor commercial space, on John Keefer Mahony Court.

It needs official plan and zoning changes to go ahead.

Council holds a public meeting on it Wednesday, August 26th, at 5 p.m. at Victoria Hall.
