A very ambitious runner is attempting to complete 21 marathons in three weeks, all in an effort to raise funds for Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart charity.
Adam Saltarelli’s goal was simple, to help raise money for children’s sports, by eliminating financial barriers.
He says when he was younger, financial pressures forced him to give up on his favorite sport, that being martial arts.
Now with the opportunity to give back, the Port Colborne athlete is running the shoreline of Lake Ontario, stopping in various communities to raise awareness and funds for his cause.
Arriving in Port Hope on Thursday, Saltarelli aims to clear Northumberland County by Monday on his way to the Gananoque area next week. His goal is to raise $5500.
