Cobourg man arrested in alleged theft

A Cobourg man is charged for allegedly stealing a contractor's tools.

Police were called to Burke and Mathew Streets, just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, on a report that contractor’s tools had been stolen from a property in the area.

A video of the theft was provided to police, and officers searched the surrounding neighbourhood and located a person carrying a tool bag and tools matching the description of the stolen property.  The man was remanded into custody.
