Cobourg to offer snow clearing for seniors program

The Town of Cobourg is launching a pilot program to help seniors shovel or clear snow this winter.

25 applications, selected through a lottery will see snow clearing of approximately three-foot-wide path of fronting and adjacent sidewalks of their property and clearing the centre portion of the end of their driveway.

Yet no salting or sanding of the sidewalk or driveway will be performed.

Applications are due on September 14 and participants will be charged $100 for the season.
