Cobourg Police charge youth with sex crimes

A 17-year-old youth is facing charges for the non-consensual distribution of intimate images and videos.

Cobourg Police opened the investigation last month, alleging that videos depicting youths engaged in sexual activity were being distributed online.

The youth was arrested on six charges, including: Making Child Sexual Abuse Material, Distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material, Distributing Intimate Images, and Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

The accused was released and will appear in court at a later date.
