Scaffolding will soon surround the Victoria Hall clock tower, as the Town of Cobourg Corporate Services Division announces restoration work to that portion of the iconic downtown landmark.

This work involves the painting and general maintenance that is required every 10 to 15 years. It will begin the first week in August, the announcement said, and continue through mid-October.

The project is being funded in the town's 2026 capital budget, with the Victoria Hall Maintenance Trust group helping to fund repairs to the bell cradle.

The town extends thanks to residents and visitors for their patience as this work continues. For more information, contact the Customer Service Team at 905-372-4301 or customerservice@cobourg.ca
