Inmates in Warkworth charged with assault

Provincial police have charged two inmates at Warkworth Institution with assault.

The investigation began in late May as police received a report of an assault involving several inmates.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

The accused were charged with assault causing bodily harm and will appear in Cobourg court in August.
